ADVOCACY & SELF DETERMINATION

“Independent facilitator” means a person, selected and directed by the participant, who is not otherwise providing services to the participant pursuant to his or her IPP and is not employed by a person providing services to the participant. The independent facilitator may assist the participant in making informed decisions about the individual budget, and in locating, accessing, and coordinating services and supports consistent with the participant’s IPP”

I am also a certified Independent Facilitator and my goal and roll is to seek, find, and secure all needed services that your loved one or self need, to allow you to fulfill your plan towards independence and happiness! As an Advocate for over 25 plus years, and a parent of four sons with ASD, I have worked professionally and personally with many of the same issues. There is not just one tool to write your dream PCP plan, it needs to be very personalized and very individualized. There is also not a set amount of hours that it can take to do your plan, I take my time to be extremely accurate and meet the needs and desires you have. You and your plan are my complete focus. I will then work with you through the processs as your independent facilitator. As an Advocate, seeking unmet needs and services, supports, and implementation is what I specialize in as an Advocate already and I am committed to doing my absolute best to assist you to succeed and go on the journey with you.
